M.a.w. U sluit al uw monitoren, toetsenbord, netwerkkabel, muis, printer etc. aan op het docking station en U hoeft daarna nog maar 1 stekker in uw laptop te steken. Thuis of op het bedrijf wordt de laptop dan gebruikt als een pc-kast. Een Docking station is een erg handig apparaat voor iemand die de laptop vaak meeneemt, maar thuis of op de zaak de laptop liever gebruikt als een normale PC-kast en liever met 1 of meer grote monitoren werkt en met een normaal toetsenbord en een muis. BELANGRIJK Voordat U op zoek gaat naar een docking station, maak eerst een inventarisatie van het volgende: - Welke soorten aansluitingen zitten er momenteel op uw monitoren? Dit   kunnen zijn: VGA, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, USB-C - Welke monitor-kabels heeft U momenteel tot uw beschikking - Mogelijk heeft U straks nog 1 of meer andere monitor-kabels nodig! - Hoeveel monitoren wilt U maximaal op een Docking-station kunnen aansluiten? - Hoeveel monitoren moet het docking station aan kunnen. - Beschikt mijn laptop wel over een USB-C poort waarop ik een docking station kan aansluiten! - Kijk goed welke poorten er allemaal op een dockingstation zitten! - Welke beeldscherm-resolutie's moet een docking station kunnen genereren   voor uw monitoren welke U op het docking station wilt gaan aansluiten. - Hoeveel USB-poorten heeft U docking station straks nodig ( muis, toetsenbord,   USB-sticks, printer etc. ) - Docking stations worden gebruikt in combinatie met laptops/notebooks.   Kijk bij aankoop van een docking station eerst goed, hoeveel monitoren het   betreffende docking station maximaal aan kan. Sommige duurdere   modellen docking stations kunnen meerdere monitoren aan dan   goedkopere docking stations.
